On May 20th the Chamber of Commerce Honkers visited Randle Realty and presented them with a “Dollar of Profit” plaque.

Randle Realty is settled into their new location at 204 South Second Street in Lamar and their business hours are 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and they are always available by appointment when needed.

Board hopes building sale will revitalize Lamar

Lamar Housing Authority Chairman Dick Kessler and Executive Director Melanie Gurule have announced the sale of the historic Alamo Hotel in Lamar.

"F&RLamar LLC is a small family owned corporation and are happy to be part of the Lamar community. We will put our best effort to have remodeled apartments ready in mid-August." Farah Beheshti said.

Several offers have been received and the board feels that this offer is best suited not only forthe Lamar Housing Authority but for Lamar. The board hopes this will be instrumental in the revitalization of Lamar." I would like to thank the Lamar Housing Authority Board and all the staff, especially the maintenance department, in getting the deal completed. A special thank you should go to Sharon Wilson of Randle Realty for her dedication to this project," Kessler said. "It has been our desire to find a buyer that would utilize the property in such a manner that will benefit the community as a whole and particularly the downtown area.
